Are you seeking Psychotherapy or Relationship Counseling in Northwest Indiana?
Whatever the circumstances that bring you to seek a therapist, you may find help by looking within. I can assist you in this process. I have worked with people for over 25 years with a wide variety of concerns based upon techniques that come from psychodynamic theory. This means looking within to observe the flow of thoughts and feelings, making connections with past experiences, and looking ahead with new options for solving old problems. It also means using the relationship with the therapist to safely consider going against the grain of old habits and growing into greater health and well-being as you pursue new life-goals.
I graduated from the University of Chicago in 1984, and I have incorporated new techniques into my core practice as I pursued continuing education. Mindfulness, cognitive therapy, and hypnotherapy are techniques I have used to help clients look within. Couples and families also benefit from this approach, particularly where a codependent relationship is a problem.
